Buhari Mourns Abba Kyari

The president and the entire cabinets have mourned the death of his chief of staff Abba Kyari. Abba Kyari until his death was the chief of staff and believed to be the right man for President Muhammadu Buhari. The Special Adviser to the President on media and publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina in a statement announced his death.

Abba was tested positive for the Coronavirus after his closed indoors meeting in Germany on how to tackle the country's power grid and was transferred to an unknown destination on a self-isolation. He died on April 17th being Friday in a Lagos State hospital - a close source revealed.

Meanwhile, the remains of the late Chief of Staff was laid to rest as reported by the Premium Time at 11:20 a.m at the military cemetery in the Federal Capital Territory amidst tears from the family members. In line with the NCDC guidelines, men on the Personal Protective Equipment handled his remains.

President in his tribute on Twitter described him as a loyal friend. He was also believed to be in charge of the Presidency, issuing orders in the President's absence due to his critical health illness. According to the New York Post, Mr. Kyari was always seen as a gateman to his boss, as all protocols to see the President and get him to sign any document goes through him.

They also noted that Mrs. Aisha Buhari was misconstrued when she alarmed that some cabals had hijacked her husband's position as referring to the CoS. A former banker and journalist, Mr. Kyari attended London Cambridge University where he obtained a certificate in Sociology and Law as testified by his former mate and now Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffery Onyeama - New York Times reports.

There were also rumors that his burial was attended by some top government officials unprotected which had sparked several reactions on the media. Some well-meaning Nigerians especially health experts had condemned the actions, urging the government to fish out those involved for full isolation in order not to spread the noble virus.
