Obiano relaxes lockdown
Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State in a broadcast has asked the people of his state to resume their normal business as he relaxes lockdown.


Following the statement which was released on Saturday "I'm delighted to tell you that our index case has been discharged and has reunited with the family. I urge you all not to be afraid but exercise your faith in God.

According to the Gov all food markets including restaurants, and bars are to resume their normal business following the tests they have received and the cooperation from the people so far for the past three weeks.

In saying this, the Gov did not exclude the churches as he urges all religious duties to commence their activities.

Meanwhile going by the meeting held by the Nigeria Governor's Forum Last Week, maintains no interstates movement except for important goods and services which will be of benefit to fighting of the disease.


Similarly, the Governor in a new development has okayed the resumption of Primary and Secondary Schools in the  state. This was made known on Monday 14 September 2020, through a media source.

Joining in the go back to school movement on Monday was Lagos, and, PortHarcourt. In a statement issued by the Governors, says school resumption will be will be duely followed in line with NCDC guidelines.

While other states awaits resumption, need arise to put all the necessary measures on ground in order to ensure the safety of the students and the wards. The Minister of Education had earlier reiterated that the government is not ready to endanger the lives of this kids by reopening schools.
