Kin Jong Un Health Issues Worsens After Surgery Says US Officials

The US and South Korea may have given a conflicting report about Kim Jong Un the North Korean leader after been absent from most immediate holiday celebrations.


A US official who asked not to be mentioned said Kim was in critical condition after having a cardiovascular surgery without Trump's administration knowing his whereabouts.

One of the Us officials said that the health issues of the 36 years old leader may have worsened after the surgery but the White House declined to comment.

The South Korean President  Moon said that Kim has been seen recently conducting official duties with few of his aides in a rural part of the country, so the speculations surrendering his sudden disappearance has nothing to confirm. Kim's health issues have affected the benchmark Kospi gauge to an extent of 3%  making it close lower against the dollar.

Kim's whereabouts are only known by a handful of people from his inner caucus, after his sudden disappearance from the public since April 15th when his grandfather celebrated his birthday who is the state founder kim 11 Sung. He is a heavy smoker and overweight which has deteriorated his health.

Even the most top North Korean officials found it hard to understand what is going on in the secretive state. A Seoul based website gathered information from the inside that Kim had a 'Cardiovascular surgery' and almost recovering. 


The North Korean leader has been reported to be in a coma recently due to his poor health. Kim was also said to have partially ceded power to his younger sister Kim Yo Jong.

According to nypost.com, the former aide to late South Korean President Kim Dae-Jung, revealed that Kim's health issues have gone worse since his public appearance level depreciated.

"I assess him to be in a coma, but his life has not ended," Jung told North Korean media.

He also went to claim that Kim Yo was confidently handed over to steer the affairs of the country.

"A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo Jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period." he maintained.

New york post through the Yonhap News Agency reported that the National Intelligence Service had an in-door meeting with lawmakers opined that the temporary power shift aims at "relieving Kim's stress so as to prevent further offense in policymaking." 

Although not yet a successor, Yo acts as a "de facto second in command" new york post reported.
