Nigeria Covid 19 Figures Continues To Rise As NCDC Records About 381 New Cases
Despite the easing of lockdown in all the states in Nigeria, the number of
affected persons continue to rise.

According to the highlights from the Nigerian Centre For Disease Control on the 7th of May 2020, shows that 381 new confirmed cases and 4 deaths were recorded.

However, no report of new cases from states in the last 24 hours.

So far, 18 states that recorded the 381 cases of the coronavirus include -  Lagos which has the highest number of the affected with 183, followed by Kano with 55 figures, Jigawa has 44 while Zamfara and Bauchi record 19, Kastina has 11 cases, Borno 9, Kwara 8 followed by Kaduna 7.

Other states are Gombe 6, Ogun 5, Sokoto 4, Oyo, and Rivers share the same figures 3, Niger has moved to 2, while Akwa Ibom, Enugu, and Plateau recorded 1 each.

The agency situation updates in the last 24 hours show that there are 3526 cases of Covid19 in the country, 601 discharged with 107 death.

Meanwhile, State like Rivers continues to maintain their lockdown, marking day 2 as Markets, Banks, fuel Stations, and other institutions are not allowed to open.

NCDC continues to role out measures which will help to reduce the risk of spreading the pandemic disease which are;   the mandatory use of non-medical masks, no gatherings of more than 20 persons, and controlled access to markets, businesses implemented by public authorities.

Other measures include;

Banks and corporate offices to open between 8am - 2pm, Neighborhood markets to also open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays between 8am - 3pm, Government offices to open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8am - 2pm. Churches, Mosques, Schools, bars, clubs, and gardens to remain closed.
