Two Days Virtual 73rd World Health Assembly Commences Today, Members To Proffer Solutions To Covid-19
The World Health Assembly will today
commence it's 73rd gathering not in Geneva Switzerland this time, but virtual due to the ravaging Corona Virus.

According to Dr Tedros Adhanon, WHO Director general in a statement says, "Today is the start of the 73rd World Health Assembly - the first ever to be convened virtually. It is an opportunity for health leaders to commit to fight #Covid19 together, in unity, in solidarity. That's the only way we can stop this pandemic and keep the world safe".

Recall that on the 8th May, 2020 World Health Organization through it's Director Dr Tedros made this Clarion call on Nation's coming together to fight a common health threat during the Anniversary of the eradication of smallpox.

The virtual meeting will have in attendance the presence of 194 WHO member states.

The South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the Assembly and also call on the world leaders to unite together in the fight against Covid 19.

Dr Tedros continues to advocate for togetherness in a fight with the pandemic disease that is threatening our environment.
