Fire Outbreak: Truck Driver Dead As Explosion Hits Lagos Ibadan Expressway
Explosion believed to have been caused by a truck around Kara Market, Lagos Ibadan Expressway at about 12:40 am in the morning was conveying fuel to an unidentified destination.


According to a reliable source, the incident occurred when two tankers came in contact while averting a Police vehicle.

Immediate response from the men of Road Safety Corps, Police, Traffic warders, Fighters was also recorded as the took control of affected area to avoid further occurrence.

It was garnered that alternative routes were provided to avoid unnecessary gridlock and to maintain a hitch free movement for the motorists.

No much casualties were recorded except one of the tanker drivers who was burned to ashes as motorists were not on duty as at that hour.

Government has been advised to fix the Lagos Ibadan Expressway by some well meaning Nigerians, pointing out that it has claimed several souls due to it's current dilapidated state.

It was also tagged as dungeon death owning to the fact that such incident is a recurrent one, which leaves it's victims dastard.

In response, sources linked with the Minister of transportation, 

Babatunde Raji Fashola claimed that government is on top of the 

situation, making underground provision in order to restore it to it's formal state.
