It also has in attendance, the Imo Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, the new acting National Chairman backed by the President, Victor Giadom, and other Governors of the party. Giadom was alleged to have gotten Court order to be recognised as the APC acting Chairman.

Several resolutions where taking including the dissolving of the National Working Committee of the party. It was also learnt that the NEC has instituted Hon Mai Buni, the Executive Governor of Yobe State as the Caretaker Committee Chairman of APC.

Expressing their views, analysts has argued that the supposed meeting of the All Progressive Congress should not have been held at the chamber of the Federal Executive Council. The FEC is where the President and his Ministers deliberates on the issues and affairs of the Country and should not be accessed for party gathering, they argued.

Earlier this morning, it was gathered from a source that the National Secretariat of the party was locked by the National Police Force, a development some said might have prompted the meeting to be held at the FEC chamber.

Meanwhile, responding on the sealing of the APC National Secretariat Abuja, the IGP stated that it was strictly done to maintain law and order, and not to discredit any individual as rumored by the media. He further stated that the action was meant to stop mayhem and chaos which was planned by some set of group.

The crisis rocking the party has continued to deepen as different factions of the party emerge. Oshiomole's led faction which brought former Ogun State Governor, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, as the acting National Chairman of the party, was later dissolved by the Court, recognising Giadom as the acting Chairman based on the President's recommendation.

Recall that the Edo State APC recently lost Governor Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy to PDP. Obaseki was denied ticket in the party on the basis of wrong provision of fake WAEC certificate and therefore was declared unfit to participate in the primaries. Having defected to PDP, he was granted waiver by the party to enable him pursue his second term bid as Governor of the State.

Clinching APC's primary victory was Ize Iyeamu on few days past. Iyeamu is now the party's guber flag bearer, which is to be held soonest, as no date has been fixed by INEC. He will eventually face Obaseki if he finally emerge as the PDP flag bearer at the conclusion of the party's primary. Doubts are also arising on the fate of Obaseki, as Ize Iyeamu was said to have the backing of President Buhari's and the entire party.
