A Notorious Drug Dealer Ducked
Fear has been expressed by the family of a notorious drug dealer reportedly ducked by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Imo State, as he is been declared dead. Simply identified as Apama, a native of Anara in Isiala Mbano LGA is a known dealer in Marijuana, Cocaine, and other hard drugs.

According to a trusted source close to the family of the dealer, revealed to eagle source that fear has gripped his family over his current status, as no one knows if he is dead or alive. He claimed that one of his siblings as usual went to pay him a visit at the prison to provide him with food, but to his utmost surprise was not allowed to set his eyes on him unlike before, despite several hours of persuasions.

His trouble started when he was linked to a phone theft in Anara Community in the first week of August 2020. Rumour has it that he coordinated the theft and shop breakage of a lady that sells phone accessories and made away with some of her goods.

The source further revealed that several warnings to stop the sale of hard drugs failed on deaf ears as he claimed to have been known with it, thus becoming a strong means of his income. He also claimed to have built houses with it. Faced with a countless number of arrests, both at the community level and at the state level but always finds his way back home, the source revealed.

Moreso, another source revealed that he broke the store in connection with the other four guys who are also in Police custody.  The lady whose shop was broken and phone accessories carted away was said to be associated with Imo Speaker, Hon. Chiji Collins which may prove abortive to call for a bailout, a close friend revealed. In fact, we gathered that several attempts to contact the Speaker remained a failed one, as he refused to grant them an audience to dialogue.

Similarly, jubilation filled the air last two weeks as a man identified as Justine who hails from the same Anara Community was released by the men of State Security Service after being accused of rendering assistance to kidnappers in redeeming funds. His arrival lightened the environment as some claimed that about 10 gunshot salutes were released in his honor.

While others insisted that he committed the offense but was released because capital was involved, others opined that he has no hands in such an act, blaming his arrest on mischief makers and enemies who planned for his downfall.

Series of kidnappings and robbery have been reported within this axis despite measures put on the ground to curtail the situation. A case of rape was also reported in mid-July as a young man was said to have raped a minor.

He has lured the little girl to his house in exchange for a phone. Everything went soared when he failed to fulfill the promise he made to her which led to Police involvement in the case. He would be charged to court since it was a rape case, according to Police Officer in charge.
