The National Common Entrance Examination(NCEE) scheduled to hold today Saturday, 31st  of October 2020 has been reportedly canceled and postponed indefinitely. According to an initial report, the school-leaving examination was supposed to have taken effect on Thursday dated 29th of October 2020 but was rather shifted to this day.

A primary school student identified as Destiny Okorie from Imo State alongside his co-student interviewed on their way back home told our correspondent that they were asked to go home. He stated emphatically that it was canceled and would no longer hold.

"We were just asked to go home, that the exam would not hold again," Destiny replied when asked. Although no definite answer was given as what led to the exam cancelation. The efforts to get those at the hem of affairs in Imo State to know the full details and why the students were asked to go home proved abortive.

Eagle source later gathered from a reliable source that the reason for the postponement was as a result of NECO examiners whose job it is to print their question papers have been on break coupled with the fact that no money was released to that effect by the Ministry.

He further maintained that parents were told to keep their wards at home pending when every issue is sorted out, but they refused and never listened.

Following the recent attack on lives and property in the country sparked by the #ENDSARS protest, the National Examination Council(NECO) also suspended the exams meant to hold on 22nd, 23rd, 24th to 17th and 19th of November respectively.

Below is the memo passed by NECO and full details of their shifted exams;
