Reactions as Kogi State Governor Pleads To Lead End SARS Protesters

The End SARS Protests in Nigeria is now been seen as Politics and many taking undue advantage of it to cause chaos and rake havoc all in order to ridicule the efforts of the Peaceful protesters across the country.

Announcing earlier this morning, the current Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on the African Independent Television announced that he would love to lead

the youth protests on End SARS which started on the 12th of October 2020.

He also claimed that since the movement has no leader, he would assume one, and also promised to lead the protest from his state to the Presidential Villa to see the President in order to bring the situation under control.

Meanwhile, Nigerians especially the Youths continue to react to Yahaya Bello's demand, says the Governor only wants to create scenes and attract public attention. They stated that the End SARS protests have no leader since its inception, and therefore cannot be deceived by the lip services always paid by our leaders in precarious situations such as this.

Protests in different states across the country continue to step up. Places like Lagos, Abuja, Anambra, Imo, Osun, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Edo, and many more are rising up daily to Protest against Police brutality and bad governance.

End SARS protests in Edo turned sour as the thugs said to be protesters in the state broke through the prison gate thereby freeing hundreds of inmates to unknown destinations. Footages of the prisoners were shown fleeing the prison environment from the roof.

Following the curfew placed in the state, the Governor said it's a means to secure the safety of the public especially the protesters since it has been hijacked by thugs.

In a similar vein, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu today 20th 2020 has announced the immediate implementation of Curfew across the state, states that the protest is to ensure the safety and the well being of the protesters as it has said to be hijacked by some hoodlums. 

While he tasked the Youth to be patient with the Government on their demands, he also urged them to remain peaceful as they carry out their Protests. As the movement continues to attract attention, several have been recorded to sustain injury and at least 20 Youths have died as well.

The Youths have also threatened to close the Federal Capital Territory Airways, the runs to be specific if the President fails to address them in no distant time. Nigeria continues to lose millions of dollars as a result of the protests. 

Anonymous who has been hacking into firm accounts continues to make waves as he succeeded in breaking into GOtv, DStv, Airtel, Gtbank. The unknown hacker had also threatened to hack into the CBN account to offer every account holder in the country at most #2 million.

In the spirit of solidarity towards the END SARS protests in the country, Anambra Citizens continues to stage protests around the state. Last week, Governor Willey Obiano sacked his special aid over the Awkuzu SARS saga, where extrajudicial killings and other atrocities were committed against innocent souls. They also demanded the demolition of the premises that are now regarded as dungeons of death. Leading the protests are; Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, Flavor na-abania, Phyno, and the likes of others.
