Soldiers Dislodges Boko Haram
The members of the Islamic Sect of the West also known as Boko Haram said to be in their large numbers were reported to be disengaged by the Soldiers of Operation Lafiya Dole at their camp in Damboa area of Borno State. The Sect has been carrying out heinous activities in the Northern part of the country since 2009, which has left scores dead, property destroyed, and many refugees. 

In what was recalled as an assault, the Air Task Force launched a reprisal attack on the Bokoharam members which saw many dead and others fled to unknown destinations. With the aid of the well-armoured Super trained Soldiers who were determined to end the journey and activities of the sect, threw their weight around the terrorists with heavy gunshots.

Defence Headquarters in a press release on Thursday 29 October 2020 by the Ag Media Director and Operation, Brigadier General Bernard Onyeuko recorded that about 12 of the terrorists were killed, while others escaped with serious injuries. Items said to have been discovered during the challenge include; Two-Gun Trucks, An Anti Aircraft gun, Two Rocket Propelled Grenade Tubes, 4 PKT Machine guns, General purpose and browning machine guns.

Amongst other things found at the Camp were; An RPG 7 Bomb, 12AK 47, AK 74, and several other grenades. The Officers on duty have been commended on their intervention despite few sustaining minor injuries and are been medically taken care of. 

Those residing in the region are hereby encouraged to move freely as the launched Operation Fire Ball are meant to restore peace and normalcy in the affected area. However, they were assured that soon the reign of the Islamic Sects will be past, citing that the military are now ready to flush them out.
