My Letter To IG On #EndSARS That Was Never Implemented - Oby Ezekwesili

My Letter To IG On #EndSARS
The former Minister of Education and a convener of the #ENDSARS protest had narrated how she drafted a letter to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to address the Police Officers on the use of force against the citizens protesting brutality. This she said on her Twitter handle on Tuesday the 3rd of November 2020. While noting that the IG never implemented her letter, she recounted the ordeal the Young People had gone through in the hands of the Security Officers.

"When at the beginning I saw how badly the @PoliceNG was handling the #EndSARS protesters, just out of the hospital, I went to meet the IG of police and advised against using brutality against citizens protesting brutality.

"He promised to handle but failed. The rest is history," Oby noted.

Similarly, the Ex-Minister of Solid Minerals again says she has written Babaga Mungono, the National Security Adviser of the President, to immediately retrieve one Modupe Odele's Passport from the State Security Service and apologize to her for trampling on her freedom.

According to a media report, she was prevented and denied from traveling out of the country yesterday Monday 2nd Nov 2020 by Officers on whose order yet to be ascertained. Modupe is said to be one of the supporters of the END SARS movement. In her words, she confirmed that her passport was seized, but never knew why and who was behind it.

"Hello everyone. Thank you so much. I’m fine and I’m safe. We haven’t confirmed yet why I was stopped on Sunday or by whom. But I’ve been invited back in with my lawyers today. I’ll update when I have more information but please don’t spread false news. That is dangerous."

Below is the letter of Dr. Oby Ezekwesili to the IG
