The Super Eagles of Nigeria has arrived Freetown in Sierra Leone ahead of its second leg of the 2022 AFCON qualifier on Tuesday 17 November 2020. The senior team which completed a long training in the early hours of the day before setting off said in a tweet "Off to Freetown" while announcing their arrival this afternoon at about 3pm also stated that they are on ground and about ferrying to the city centre.

"We have arrived in Freetown, we are in a ferry to the City Centre."

The Eagles had on Saturday 14 November 2020 conceded four goals in what seems to have been a sealed deal as they took on the Sierra Leonians at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City. Apologizing to Nigerians, the management and the players as well have promised to deliver and bring home victory in their next encounter.

Mixed reactions trailing all over the media blaming the players for their reluctant behavior exhibited at the course of the match thereby allowing their opponents to draw against them as they where all over the pitch with an early four goals lead. The African cup qualifier match between the duo ended 4-4 with each grabbing a point.

A close source revealed that the costly mistake was from the head coach, Rohr who substituted the Captain Musa with Iheanacho. Alex Iwobi scored twice followed by Victor Osinhwem who would likely miss the second leg on Tuesday due to wrist contracted injury as Chukwueze rapped it up, all in the first half.

The Eagles again fails to grab 3 points at the Siaka Stevenson Stadium, Freetown as they face the Leone Stars today, Tuesday 17 November 2020. The match which ended goalless now sees the senior team in the same position at the AFCON qualifier table.

All efforts to score proved abortive as the Sierra Leone's side held tight their different positions to keep the eagles off the pitch. SLE 0 - 0 NGA.
